About the Restaurant

Vegan Garden Restaurant, which opened in December 2021, is a Development of the First ever Vegan food Van in Central Budapest, founded in 2018.
The new Restaurant is located in Kiraly Street 8-10 in the Heart of Budapest´s Hotel and Entertainment District.

Our Chef has 25 years of experience living and working in Italy, and is able to bring an international Flavour to the Menu which is attractive for All: Non-Vegans, Vegetarians and Vegans.

Vegan Garden is a modern Life-Style Restaurant & Pizzeria, offering our Guests an inspiring Experience with high Quality Food and attentive Service. The Ambience is relaxing and beautiful with many lush green live Plants and sacred Altars.

We at Vegan Garden are proud to be part of the Global Movement to improve Health and Nutrition, to raise environmental Consciousness about Food growing, sourcing and transport and to be able to share our Joy in making the World a better place with you, our dear Guests.

My connection to veganism came from absorbing the eco information I received first in primary school and then through my further education all the way to university.

I started in the catering business by creating Hungary´s first sustainable bistro. We introduced more seasonal vegetables and ingredients and eventually reduced the amount of meat in our menu. I am now delighted to be working with entirely vegan food at Vegan Garden Restaurant.

As soon as I finished school in Hungary, I immediately went abroad to gain valuable culinary experience. From 1993 to 2018, I lived in Italy, where I had considerable success in mastering the Art of Mediterranean Cuisine.
 During those years, I spent time in Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio and Capri.
 
I am committed to using a wide variety of seasonal ingredients, and this is a philosophy that I am also applying to the Mediterranean-style kitchen at Vegan Garden Restaurant where I have been the Chef since the spring of 2022.

I enjoy spending quality time with my human at the restaurant. We split the work: while he’s working, I meditate beside the picture of Ganesha.

In my 9 years, I have seen a lot, but I never thought I would ever be an honorary member of such a passionate team. I am grateful for kind words and I am over the moon if someone pets my golden fur. The two things I am crazy about are pizza and swimming.
